Windmill Collection

Baker Monitor Steel Model K 8 FT
Manufactured 1910-1930

The open back Monitor steel windmills are some of the most common open gear windmills, and can still be seen today if you look closely while driving through ranch country. They had a reputation for being incredibly durable, which led to their popularity. This particular mill came to us a few years ago and has since gone through a full rebuild of the head, and is now back up and spinning like it did 100 years ago.

Dempster No. 12 Annu-Oiled
Manufactured 1922-1980's
The Dempster No. 12 is one of the most common windmills you see out on ranches today due to its long manufacturing run that spanned 60+ years. There have been several variations over the years from bearing style to slight design changes, but they have remained one of top windmills you will see on a cross country trip. This particular windmill was found in Oklahoma in rough condition but we were able to bring it back to life through a full restoration. This Dempster is an early model No. 12, with an estimated manufacturing date between 1925 and 1931.
